The Diaspora Pa’lante Collective denounces in the strongest terms the ongoing U.S.-Israeli war on the Islamic Republic of Iran, battling yet another attempt by imperialism to sow chaos and instability toward the collapse of the Iranian state. Such an outcome would eliminate a key pillar of the regional resistance to Zionist expansionism, and return the nation to a position of obedience and compliance within the U.S.-led international system. Far from securing the liberation of a people, its capture by means of imperialist subversion would constitute a resounding defeat for the Iranian masses and all anti-imperialist forces across the world.
From Venezuela to Cuba, Gaza to Iran, the information sphere remains a critical site of struggle, weaponized with great success by the enemies of humanity to denigrate and criminalize all who pose a threat to the maintenance of the U.S.-led global order. The crimes for which the Islamic Republic and its people have been targeted are its reconfiguration of the balance of power in West Asia, and its refusal to capitulate to Zionism’s rapacious drive to colonize the region in its entirety.
Our common enemy is imperialism, whose expulsion from all corners of the world presents the only opportunity for humanity to advance toward peace and to live with dignity. We refuse to be led astray by systematic disinformation, consumed by propaganda fashioned by the architects of occupation and genocide in Palestine. The guilty parties responsible for the most unspeakable crimes against humanity are not to be found in Tehran, but in Washington, London, Tel Aviv, Paris, and Berlin.
For nearly fifty years, Iran (alongside Cuba, Venezuela, and Korea) has endured one of the most aggressive sanctions regimes in the world, an economic weapon designed to immiserate its people and compel its surrender. At great cost to its own security, its national identity remains rooted in unwavering opposition to Zionism and the dictates of global imperialism.
Today, the masses of the world must contend with the desperation of an empire in decline. An empire whose reliance on brute force and increasingly sophisticated means of deception (enabled by the expansion of AI and its control of all major media platforms) demands an opposition equipped with the analytical tools to bring clarity to the forefront.
Standing with the Iranian people requires our collective denunciation of sanctions and their devastating impacts on the global majority; our defense of the foundational principles of national sovereignty and self-determination; our consistent demystification of propaganda designed to demonize the Islamic Republic, its people, and its supporters; our celebration of its material support for the forces of resistance to Zionist-imperialist domination across the region; our combined pressure on the machinery of war to prevent the use of military force intended to reduce the republic to ashes; and a multifaceted strategy to mobilize a popular movement toward the removal of the United States and Israel as the key impediments to the shaping of Iran’s state, society, and economy exclusively by the Iranian people.
At the barrel of a gun, imperialism demands our denunciation of its enemies: the Palestinian guerrilla, the Islamic Republic, the heroic peoples of Cuba and Venezuela. Such a betrayal would be offered at the expense of our honor and dignity as a people, relegating our own struggle for national liberation to the margins of history, for any victory benefiting the enemy is a defeat suffered by the people.
